That's great news about your kidney function returning, Scott.

hells yeah, I was not looking forward to dialysis of any sort. Hell iwa s more worried about the biopsy that would have been done in no improvement was found.

Loss of mobility for me stops our house in its tracks. Heather was a PCA and blew her back out. she had 3 disks fused, and now they are looking at doing and another set higher up in her back. she legally can't work, because she is uninsurable. if I become immobilized be become fuked LOL, even small days of being offline can screw us up.

so yeah now if only my right ear would work again.  I miss it in somany way you would not even think. who knew ears were for more than hearing and blend, but eye motion and tracking.

That's great News Scott. Let hope it improves even more.

Quote from: Prime_8 on Jul 03, 2019, 12:34 amAlso saw the kidney doc today. He says my 31% kidney function has come back to 45% , and that if it came back that far in a few months the loss most likely was due to poison or allergic reaction  of some level . and that if and he expects it to have come back to a similar level in nov to the high 50s or 60s even. If so he only needs to see me once a year. He said the bug that took my hearing out 2 years ago may have done systemic damage that is still healing. I could have been as simple as a toxic reaction to it or even the antibiotics they gave me to clear the ear infection.
Oh my god, Scott!  I know you've had some serious health problems over the last few years, but poisoning never even entered my mind!  Good lord.  I hope you do recover.  I've met a lot of people that I think the world not only COULD do without, but would probably be BETTER OFF without.  You're NOT one of them.  The world is better with you in place, and I hope that you CONTINUE to recover.  Feel better and get well, my friend.

its funny Blood pressure can do all the same damage even the ear ( very rare )
Nephrologist tinks poisoning of some form ( some alergic reactions to meds count for kidneys as poisoning ), but was afraid it was damage from high blood pressure like my WML was.

I do seem to feel better every week now. Mor energy, cold and flu not included. LOL. the weather swings here are hard on old joints. but that's normal but makes me feel bad for Heather and her back.

Well then, my friend, I not only wish for your good health, but for Heather as well.

Oh joy off to the new Costco here ( biggest in the country right now). I think it's only been open a week or so.  the old location closed, it was 5 min away, now its 25 min. ugh

I just love Costco ( not), but its the best price when the whole family goes together. we meet up and split up the loot hahaha

scifidude79

They built a Costco near where I work. I've never been in it. Though, to be fair, I work at Walmart. So, if I want to save money...

Prime_8

LOL yeah haha I could see that. I prefer the new wall marts her . they finally started to make the ones that have food in them, huge grocery store

Happy 4th

Yeah, I've heard from other online friends that Walmarts in Canada are more sparse and have less stuff than the ones here. (the one I work at is a 15 minute drive from two others) It's nice to know you're getting some Supercenters.

What's really odd is when they convert an older smaller Walmart into a Supercenter. You wind up with a Walmart that's oddly small, yet tries to have all of the stuff that a big Supercenter has. With the one I work in, they added onto the building to add the grocery section. You can tell where they did it because the ceiling is higher and has bare rafters, the other part of the store has ceiling tiles.

Prime_8

yeah, here they either large grocery stores or not.

So, I'm working on excising Google from my life. I set up an e-mail address with another provider and I've been changing the e-mail at various sites. Should I be worried that my bank had less verification processes than some of the sites I shop on? :-\

Sadly, that's a very interesting question.

I would say it is. I Bank with HSBC, (Hong Kong, Sangha Banks Consortium. They use to be British Midland Bank before they became HSBC) The number of hoops I have to jump though for verification processes can be tedious but I least I know it secure. Well as secure anything can be on the net.

here is a test to see if you should stop using an online service. it very easy and quick.

if it fails you need to stop making use if whatever service it is if you can't afford that info they may have become public.

select password recovery or "I forgot my password"
If it does not make you make a new one to reset your password and get access, and instead offers you questions or tasks, and then promptly displays your old password as it currently is FAIL.
big bad FAIL. whatever service that is, is totally possible for you real password to be found.
modern and most basic sites cant ever show you your password because they don't keep it, just a hash of it.

2nd way to detect a failure. assumin part 1 passes

if when you change the password, try only 1 letter diff, having passed the first test, you notice in the  rules or warnings about quality it says your password is "too similar to a previous password "
that is a FAIL, it means although they never show you your current password, It means they are still keeping your real password text someplace. BIG FAT FAIL ( this can be worse as it can show your password inclination and help them guess your other passwords at other sites/accounts)

Note ! it is ok for it to say you have used that password in the past. because they may have just kept the hashes of them.
but not the "It too similar", that's only for local admin accounts and such on LANs and such.
