I'm now getting SOME free time.  I'm still pretty tired, but I've started yet another insane project.  The USS Enterprise from Where No Man Has Gone Before, the second Star Trek pilot ship.

It's just a start.

That looks great so far, Eric. I've always been a fan of this version of the ship. I especially like the nacelle end caps and the spikes on the bussards.

Thank you, my friend!

Me too.  I'm already itching to do the cutouts at the back end of the warp engines.  I've re-spun the lower saucer and I've got to re-cut the windows.  I'll be adding "rooms" to this.  But don't get too excited.  Like my prior projects, the goal is to look like the 11 foot model.  :D

Getting there ... slowly.  Fairly happy so far.  The good Mr. Gary Kerr helped me by answering a few of my questions and provided some information in addition.  I want my model to reflect the original as it was at the time, not necessarily as to what remained visible after all the photo-chemical processing.

It's been a while since I've been this excited to be working on a model!

It's looking outstanding, Eric. Your relentless pursuit of that perfect model as it was in the 1960s is always commendable. I don't have that kind of patience. ;)

And yet you accomplish things that I don't.  Thank you, Chris.  I really appreciate your kind words.  I suppose we each have our own unique goals.  I wish to have a passable version of each of the 11 foot (and 3 foot) versions of the model as used in the series.  Maybe one day ...

Oh man, that made me laugh!  Thank you my friend.  I'm glad to see you around!

I absolutely HAD to do the back end of the Warp Engines.  I've been wanting to do that for YEARS!  I hope I did it justice.

Now, on to the rest.  (Maybe I'll do the Impulse Engines next ...)
