Thanks guys.
Slowly getting there. Hoping to get an appointment with the Doc for this afternoon, It a bitch to get one to see the GP, missed out on the morning appointments as the line was constantly engaged. So I am going to go in before they open up the afternoon booking to make sure I don't miss out again. I can sign myself off work for seven days, but after that you need to see the Doctor to do it for longer. If I can't see the Doctor today, I have to go in and do bugger all due to pain and leave early so I can start another seven day sign off. Sometime the NHS really sucks.

Any I have been able to finish another picture of "The Cars the Star" series I am doing.
This one not really detailed as I was trying something different. Also I can only sit in font of a Computer for short period of time before the pain gets to much. I'll post it later.

Wow!  I can only take off for up to three days.  After that, I need a physician's note.

Not that I've had the chance to take off any time for the last half year, but that's just me grumbling.  Get feeling better, Dean!

I can call in up to four days in six months without being fired. Clocking in late or out early also count towards attendance. They used to allow eight points (call ins) in six months, but people abused that. Though, in over three and a half years, I've called in twice, because I got majorly sick a couple months ago.

Goes to show how the laws on sickness is different in every country.

The laws in the UK and Europe are an employer has to let an employee self sign off for a week when they are sick. You don't need a doctor note. If your going to off for longer than a week then you need to get signed off by the Doctor and they will set how long you can be off depending on your ailment.

Because of this, all employment contracts in the UK will states how many days/ times you can go off sick with a self sign off in a year. It's normally something like 20 days. If you have more than that then HR/ Line Managers have to look at why your off so often and if there is a pattern to it.
If it turns out your faking it or there is a pattern to your sick leave then Disciplinary action will be taken.

Unfortunately for my company, the back pain I suffer from come from a injury that happened at work.
So there are accident reports on it and the company even help pay for me to see a cryoprator. It is something that flair up at least once a year. I can be off for a few days or a few week due to it.
But if it ever goes over the seven days or looking like that, I see the Doctor to sign me off.

Yeah, the United States has no national healthcare system, so the rules regarding call offs, etc. are set by companies, not by the government. People use and abuse the system, calling off just because the don't feel like going to work, so companies give you less time.

Of course, if you have to take an actual medical leave where I work, that can be arranged. They're not total barbarians.

Freak

It got nothing to do with the healthcare as each country with in Europe has their own.
It actually part of the law under employee rights.

This covers sickness, the minimum number of days leave you can have, Maternity / Paternity leave etc.

That's what I'm saying, though. We have no laws covering any of this. There are labor laws regarding how long you can work a person without giving them a break and lunch, but nothing about sick days, as far as I know. If there is a minimum, it's very low.

That looks awesome, Shaw. And, it's not just me who thinks so. I was at work when you posted that. I showed it to one of my coworkers on my phone, and he agrees. :)

I preordered this a little while ago:

www.amazon.com/Mothra-SteelBook-Blu-ray-Furanki-Sakai/dp/B07R553MFM

It'm not that big on steelbooks, but it's frakking Mothra on Blu-Ray. :) They need to do one of those for Rodan. It's cool watching monsters that would be later known for being Godzilla opponents (and occasional allies) in their original films. It's been many years since I last saw the original Mothra.

I really like the cover art, I'm guessing it's an old poster design for the movie.

Shaw

Thanks for the encouragement guys!

That is great to know! All this effort will be worth it if people actually get to see it in person some day (right now the only one who has seen it in person is my wife).

I was able to take a handfull of photos of the finished model...

So is there going to be a physical models section, or does this qualify as 3D?
