I am glad that you and your lovely wife are still with us.

I'm SO very sorry about the hard way your wife has had to go.  Oh man, I hope for something better for her, but I don't even know where that could come from.  A miracle, perhaps.

Is there something we can do for you?  You are an outstanding fellow and I presume your wife is a wonderful lady.  She has always seemed nice.

Good luck, my friend.  I sincerely, honestly wish that for you two.

thanks man .

she got si joints done & sympathetic epidurals (8 per side ) ... they put Botox in her back to shut off nerves

she has an MRI next month because severe liver damage like hers can start brain damage.

A robot did the  puncture for SI joints

her sugars are set to go hypoglycemic , so she must eat carbs and sugar ..  but seriously her sugar can crash to the 2.0 range easy

Prime_8

the engine I use to mage game stuff just changed it rendering API to include Vulcan support.
I cant help but think how logical that is. LOL

Oh lord.  Good luck to your lovely wife.  If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.  I wish you and your wife only the best of health and luck.

"Vulcan support"?  What on Earth is that?  LOL!  Awesome!  Logical indeed.   ;)

NICE!  Thank you, Scott!

I found a way for the engine to place collision meshes over the random asteroids.

YAY!

that means the mouse can pick them as waypoint targets, and soon I can do collision avoidance systems.

so instead of flying through them like a ghost, you will collide !

560 asteroids are auto-magically placed and now matching collision mesh is positioned correctly and the poly count is auto-reduced.

so happy.

Scott, my friend, you are a brilliant man!  Well done!

in that last pic, it's not so clear ...  but that Lil name on the asteroid is the big BSG-sized ship

my world/space is big!

My rock scatterer, that's the code for it, for 6 rock types or shapes.
what this means is the mesh instances will use fewer draw calls and GPU power, saving power for the collision detections.

I'm hoping to get an AI collision avoidance working.

Prime_8

here you can see 2 shots , one is the rock /roid mesh before it gets optimized by the program.

blue/ aqua color is  wire mesh of the collider shape .

you can see i am close to the same rock in both pics. Lower poly count is a huge boost for the performance of the collision systems.

and yep every dot of aqua color is the line mesh of a random sized and distance asteroid.

My friend, what you do is all AMAZING!

Warning .. super nerdy .

It means essentially i have a way to move ships by forces . not direct code. This means they will 'naturaly' collide with things, bounce off and slide about them.

so ugh yeah and better waypoint tracking comes free too.
so fighter swarms .. capital ships all would use this.

it will also make it easier to expos it for you all to mod in your own ships.

If you can use blender, then you will be able to make ships for it.

how almost 20 min of highly nerd stuff.

I realize it is all code ... but my friend, you are a MAGICIAN!  Unreal!
