Yeah, I logged in, went to my account settings, changed my password and was like, "that was it?" Though, to be fair, I did have to do a further verification process for a thing actually involving money transferal. Also, the bank doesn't use the e-mail addy as my login, I have a login ID and password, it just sends me notifications and stuff to my e-mail. Many of the stores (IE: Amazon) with more verification just to change the e-mail use the e-mail addy to log in, instead of a separate login ID. That was probably a factor. With that kind of thing, someone just needs to know your e-mail addy and guess your password to long in. With a separate login ID, there's a further bit of information they need to know.

I'm on my way home from work, riding a bus as usual. The bus number is 1031. I think this is an omen and it means I need to watch some Star Trek: Discovery when I get home. ;)

Yeah, it's not actually a bad idea to watch season 1 again anyway, as I plan to watch season 2 in the near future.

Meanwhile...

I love Sub-D, but it takes so long to setup before you have the results you want. I still need to do the bottom of the top/back part before I can freeze the Sub-D on that part. (the saucer already got its Sub-D frozen yesterday)

Also, why did I only find out this morning that this is a thing?

ha ha .

Also in that shot, it almost looks like ship/shuttle if the small end is the nose.

Well, eventually it's going to have pylons and nacelles, so you'll definitely be able to tell the correct orientation. ;)

Freak

I try not to use Sub-D, always a lot of clean up even after the prep work.
But your saucer looks great.
Here we are. Born to be Kings, were the Princes of the Universe!

I tried just box modeling the saucer and using edge rounding, but that junction where the saucer flares out on the sides was a massive issue. I realized it wasn't going to look how I wanted it to, but I knew I could get there with Sub-D.

I do have a lot of poly reduction to do before I can do the edge and rear details I have planned.

The model looks good!

And I thought everyone knew about that and the Planet of the Apes crossover!

I always love the "I thought everyone knew about that" thinking. (you're not the first person I've gotten that from today) Yes, everyone on the planet except for me knew about that. ::)

I don't follow comics. I only found out last night at work that IDW started doing several crossovers at some point. To be honest, I forgot/didn't know that IDW still even had the license to make Star Trek comics. What basically drew me to this one (aside form the blending of two of my favorite franchises) was the Filmation and G1 Transformers styling of it all. Though, the story was pretty fun too.

Yeah, I'm sorry.  I am obviously capable of "magical" thinking!  Whatever I see and read and experience is OBVIOUSLY what EVERYONE experiences!  LOL!  I know how patently absurd that thought is, but still, it persists.  Sorry man.

I'm glad you found something fun.

It's not that big of a deal, you're just the second person I know online who thought I knew about it already. If I'd known about it, I'd have made a big deal about it sooner. ;)

I bought the Trek/Planet of the Apes one last night. They also have a Transformers and Ghostbusters crossover that's out now and a couple Ghostbusters and TMNT ones that are a few years old.

Hey, pretty cool!  Tell us what you think of the comics!

Fun fact: I was watching the excellent TAS Episode The Time Trap the other day, and a Klingon commander that's in that episode is the one that's in the Star Trek/Transformers crossover. The main Klingon is Kor, but there's another D7 that hails the Enterprise after Kor's ship falls into The Time Trap, that's commanded by a Klingon named Kuri. (voiced by George Takei trying to not sound like himself) Anyway, Commander Kuri is the same Klingon who sides with the Decepticons in the comic. :)

And now, back to this thing. I redid the secondary hull, box modeled this time. However, I'm still not sure I like it, so I'm thinking of just scrapping this idea for now.
