Ah, fingerprinting. Probably more fun for the person doing the fingerprinting than the one being fingerprinted.

yeah, some of the systems I used to just use. I now have to know how to change and create things in.
 
Essential head fo security for a federal research facility. There are loads of lil' things, mainly forms.
Some things are so controlled, there are literally forms to use some forms. LOL

but most of it is just being personable with the public and doing what the client wants. It's rare up here to need to do the security thing beyond kicking self-entitled people who can't read out of a private lot.
I mean there a 2 huge signs and some small ones that say a private lot and such. But students and (worse) the parents think they are special and 'will only be a minute'. LOL, they never are.
" Don't you know who I am at this school?!?! " 
A: "sir, don't know who you are at the school, but you are about to get a ticket for parking in a private lot that has nothing to do with the university "
usually met with a blank stare a quick look around, " we are on campus ?"  .. nope you are on private property adjacent to the campus. The more $$$$ the more entitled they act.
last back to school season.
one parent  waiting for thier kid , was " i don't believe you, call the cops they will straighten you out " lol
A:" sir you don't wnat me to call the cops "
 they then were adamant I was wrong and it was not only university property but public.

the cops showed up at the guys' request who promptly wrote him a ticket 535$.
A: " I told you you dint want me to call them for you ."
no helping some people.

Yeah, rich people are stupid. They act like the whole world revolves around them. Then their little entitleist kids are bad too. My second job was working in one of the dining facilities for a local expensive college. ($40k a year 19 years ago) The only kids who weren't spoiled little bastards were the ones going there on scholarships or grants. I was only there a few months.

well, save 2 online courses left to finish.  I'm the boss now.  The last one turned over his keys and pass card and stuff today.
In all, it was a good day.

Did you get the key to the executive crapper? That's probably the most important thing.

Well you guys I am sure noticed that I have been away for the last week. I took my family away for a holiday, the first one we had in two years. Could not afford to go overseas as we barely been able to save anything in the last two years. (each time we had a bit of cash put as side for a holiday something come up where we had to use it. Issue with the car that needs to be fixed etc.) So we opted to do a staycation and went down to the Devon coast for the week and stayed in a British Holiday Camp. If you ever saw the British TV show Hi Di Hi you get the idea.
The kids had a great time and that is what matters.



Anyway I am back and my refit Connie is calling.

Can't wait to see your further progress.  And I'm assuming that the image is from Hi Di Hi, and not a picture of you and your family at the British Holiday Camp ...

No that is the cast of the show, loved it in the 80's. They don't make it like that anymore.

doing/taking fingerprints is fun .. or as I like to call it 'arts n crafts' ( *extream sarcasm mode )

Thanks. It's pretty nice. Some systems (like the N64) still have to be emulated on something more powerful, but it works great for older systems.

Cool toy, how did you get it to accept a SD card that big?  I thought they tend to choke a little on the big ones.
