They look good. Are you going to cut them in or just shrink wrap them?

Excellent question.  I haven't decided yet, which is why I stopped there.  I was thinking about cutting them in this time.  If I do, it would help with texturing.  If I don't, it's easier to swap out the lettering for another ship.

How easy it is to swap names and registries with textures depends on how you make your textures. I make mine in Inkscape, and it's simple to change names and numbers. Then I just have to save the texture as another name and apply it to the model. Though, most vector graphics drawing programs would make it easy.

Excellent point!  Thanks Chris!

Different material settings, different materials, different render settings ... and some of the registries and pennants.

Looking great. Those glass domes on the nacelles are particularly fantastic. They look real enough to touch.

Really Need that like button. ;)

Thank you, guys!

I did something to the side image for fun last night.  Same image with some desaturation, higher contrast, and simulated film grain.

It feels like a lot of work for only a little progress.

I do think I have pretty close to the final settings for my textures.  The bridge is textured, all the rest are materials.

Ignore the neck, I'm still adjusting the colors and material settings.  I'll have more control over the final result when I actually texture the thing.  This shot is to imitate one of the publicity shots of the 11 foot model of the Enterprise after it was delivered by Datin's team.  I'm starting to get fairly happy with it.

And another homage to yet another first pilot 11 foot Enterprise publicity shot.  Not quite there, but getting closer.

Also, wanted to have some fun.  Not the right version of the Enterprise, not the right font, and the wrong screen ratio, but still fun (for me)!

Very Cool.

Loving that last picture.

Looking great. That WNMHGB title plate looks legit.

That's a pretty good summary of doing CGI right there.

That made me chuckle!  And thank you, my friend.

It's true, though. We all know it. You can work on a mesh for hours and know you fixed a lot of issues that it had. But, then you render and your results are only seemingly marginally improved over your previous renders. But, you know it's better, even if others can't see it.
