Starting on the first pilot textures.  And for a change of pace, I figured I'd start on the bridge area.  There is only one true texture on this so far, that's the blue/green with dirt hull.  Everything else, including signage, is all modeled ... at least thus far.

Thanks guys!  I know it's not much, but I wanted to make a LITTLE progress this weekend.

I've been having a discussion about the true shape of the Engineering section over on the TrekBBS.  I got to the point where I rendered out an image of my "Production" Enterprise just for fun.

Looks good, bro.

The true shape of which engineering section? Jefferies' original drawings? His revised drawings? The 33-inch shape? or the 11-foot shape? Because, they're all different. ;)

Thank you, Chris!  And yeah, they're all different.  I'm not letting it stop me.  And besides, I'll probably stop making versions when I'm dead.  :D

Thank you, Dean.

I was just wondering which of the shapes you were discussing. For my own models, I like to go with whatever looks closest to what was seen on screen the most, which is the 11" model, of course. But, it is interesting to note the differences. Jefferies' original design is cool, but the swell on the bottom was harder to do on a lathe when the 33" model was made.

Oh, for me, the 11 foot model, every time.  I love that model!

I was feeling kind of down today.  Slept a large part of the day away.  I am still recovering from a cold, so that's probably the reason.  That, and I've been thinking about my departed pets.  So, I did something that always brings me some happiness.  This shot from near the end of the original Star Trek series episode "Metamorphosis" is one of my favorites.  I keep trying to make my Blender 3D model look more like the original.

I found that my animation for my warp lights is gone in this scene, so they are all lit.

I've got to finish my latest project.  I want to get my model looking more like the original.

Thanks for looking in.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. That image looks great, though.

Thank you, Chris!

If there is someone who says the words "cold" or "flu" I'm instantly sick.  Kind of ironic, considering I work in a health system.

Got motivated to do a little work on my new model.  Getting there.  Need to change the "upper" row of windows on the lower saucer.
