That sounds cool... I've always found it a little tricky to pick it up.

I gave it a quick go it was OK, its a simplified GUI for blender.
where everything available via menus.

I tried it once, but I had already been using the original Blender, so it didn't really do anything for me.  I know a few people who using it to this day!

Sorry I have not been around lately, just been busy with RW crap.
I have not really touch anything since before Christmas, though I have been working on a new Pin-up peace. But I not getting as much time to work on it as much as I like.

As for 3D modelling, I have not touched Blender since Christmas. But this week I dusted off the Old Oberth Class I was working on and got back to work with that. Updates coming shortly.

Four Mad Men

This week I inspected and repaired the ignition system on a Lycoming O-235.  And today I began to troubleshoot the fuel metering system and induction system on a Continental GTSIO-520.

I got another 3d printer.

but! this one was 170$ cad from amazon .  https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07RT7TW38

its 109 CAD with a 30$ instant coupon.

so I got printer and resin 2010 taxes in!

it has insane resolution and its just an entry-level rig!

I printed a simple .stl of the Razor Crest.

I mean up and running in 30min after opening the box.

If you can handle the smell and I use low odour water washable resin.  It's a great way to step into SLA printing.

soon I'll print som of my own ships!

I'll go back to lurking and printing. LOL
Oh and it runs itself from an SD card, no tether to a computer, I can print while I CODE!

scifieric

That!

Is!

AWESOME!

Well done!

been putting it to good use ..

Made this for a friend/coworker who could not get last years tree topper . I figure some non-cannon ST goodness.

>> it has clear seam that needs some file work . It was a result of where I chose to cut the .stl

It resulted in 'fattening of the first 2 layers, that makes the 'bottoms/part that touches the build plate' flair out .

Now THAT, my friend, is EXCEPTIONAL work!

Nice work! It's always tricky to find the best spot to cut something to make it printable.

That is entirely true.  Good point.

Yep!  Software evolution.  The Blender Foundation is ... unique.  They have been slowly changing the industry for years.  I presume that they aren't done, either.

I'm sure of that, but I don't think I could make Borg cube much less the Enterprise.  Also, everything is nodes for texturing now?  My old files don't render like they used to... so... Boo on that.  Engineers!  They love to change things.
