Starting to do a little better with GIMP instead of Photoshop.

Nicely done.  GIMP is a very capable paint program.  I switch between GIMP and a very old version of Paintshop Pro 5.

Yeah, I also use Photoshop 7.0.1.  Sadly, Photoshop takes FOREVER to load!

I need to revisit GIMP my linux oriented buddy loves it for everything .

I suppose it's like blender, grew up and grew out . I love blender now.


I use Paint.net with a plugin that lets me use all my old photo shop plugins and its has its own insane amount of plugins.

Paint.net  FREE ( except some of my plugins were not - Flaming Pear sells em )
Inkscape ( for svg) FREE
Krita for my tablet / painting.

Oh, excellent!  I'll have to try Paint.net!  I haven't heard of that one before.

i'll have to try and make you a list of what i use ,  but  it may go well beyond what you need as i smash pixels about for 2d textures purposes and beyond .

Scott, I can't imagine anything that you couldn't figure out.  You're going to get anything you want to understand, sooner or later.  I'm certain.
