Yeah, that guy was even more impressed when he asked if you scratch built it and I said "yes." :)

That looks absolutely fantastic, Shaw. Your work is exceptional, right up there with the people who made physical models for movies and TV. Probably even better than some of those, because you didn't have to rush through the build to fit into a shooting schedule. A lot of time and love went into this build, and it shows.

I'd imagine there's eventually going to be a physical models section, Eric probably just needs to know what sections we'd like to see come back from the old forum. I know Freak mentioned a lack of a 2D art section and then Eric made it so shortly thereafter. I definitely wouldn't class this as 3D, even though it does exist in 3 dimensions. This definitely deserves to be recognized for what it is.

Shaw, I don't think it is possible to tell you how impressed I am with your work in general, and with this FANTASTIC model in particular.  And I write that with your shuttle craft next to my monitor!

I will happily create a Physical Model Section in a minute.  I would be proud if you were to put images of your work on display there.

Shaw, she a fine looking ship!
Still can't believe this is not a kit but a scratch build. I would not know where to start if I was to do that.

Great stuff. :) I've always liked your Boba Fett costume, Ozy. That looks like a fun event.

I visit every day. One day it's there, then it's not. Then, a few days later a new forum pops up with a thread from Eric explaining everything.

I tried importing my recent Enterprise model build (seen here) into Blender, but it didn't work. ::)

MadKoifish

From LW? try exporting to a universal file like FBX to blend. Though I dunno why blend wont open a lw file have not had one cave on me but I do not do a tonne of conversions.

scifidude79

If I had an installed version of Lightwave, that might be possible. However, my Windows installation was tied to that motherboard that pooped out. (damn OEM licenses) I tried installing LW2018 with WINE, which kicked back an error. I fixed that, but it still won't install the license file properly. It's probably because I can't get the Sentinel Protection Installer to run correctly. ::)

Blender **should** be able to import .lwo files natively.
